Weekly Group Guidelines & Confidentiality

About the group

The TRUEDEN Weekly Group is a structured, educational, peer-supported group where members build lasting self-care practices. Each one-hour session, held online in Central Time, focuses on skill building, reflection, personal responsibility, supportive discussion and putting the course material into practice.

Scope of the group

  • The group offers education, coaching and peer support.
  • It is not therapy, group therapy, counseling, medical care or crisis care, and joining it does not create a therapist–client or provider–patient relationship.
  • No diagnosis, treatment, or medical, psychological, legal or financial advice is given.
  • If you need professional care, please keep working with, or reach out to, a licensed provider.

Our agreements

Confidentiality

  • What is shared in the group stays in the group.
  • Do not repeat, share, record or discuss anyone else's personal information outside the group.
  • Because this is a group, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. Share only what you are comfortable having others hear.

Respect

  • Speak from your own experience ("I" statements).
  • Do not give advice unless someone asks for it.
  • No diagnosing, fixing, rescuing or interpreting other members.
  • Honor differences in beliefs, backgrounds and pace. Faith perspectives are welcome and never required.

Self-responsibility

  • You are responsible for your own emotional care, participation level and boundaries.
  • Sharing is always optional. You may listen quietly, take a break or step away at any time.

Safety and the limits of confidentiality

This group is not designed for crisis support. Active suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or an acute mental health crisis are outside its scope.

The facilitator will take steps to protect safety, which may include contacting emergency services or the appropriate authorities, if:

  • a member expresses intent to harm themselves or someone else;
  • there is reasonable concern that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused or neglected; or
  • disclosure is otherwise required by law.

In those situations, information will be shared only as far as needed to protect safety.

If you are in crisis: call or text 988, call 911, or contact your own mental health provider. See the crisis resource list.

Facilitator role

Marsha A. Johnson, founder of TRUEDEN, facilitates each session. She provides structure and guidance, teaches from the TRUEDEN™ Self-Care Mastery Model, and keeps the group's agreements in place. She does not provide individual therapy, medical advice or emergency intervention within the group.

Technology and privacy

  • Sessions are held in TRUEDEN's online meeting room and are not recorded. Members may not record, screenshot or photograph sessions.
  • Join from a private, quiet space, alone. Headphones are encouraged.
  • Children may not be present during sessions.
  • Each group is limited to 20 members.

Group access

Each course includes 12 weeks of weekly group access, starting on your purchase date. If you pause your course, your remaining group weeks pause too. After that, you can continue with a Monthly Group Pass. Members who do not follow these guidelines may be removed from a session or lose group access.

Agreement

By joining the TRUEDEN Weekly Group, you confirm that you have read, understand and agree to these guidelines and confidentiality expectations.
